Hand lettering is the rendering of totally unique letter forms (that are not available on the computer), each one individually designed and executed. Ted learned his hand-lettering skills at Pratt Institute (under the guidance of renowned New York typographic designer, Ray Barber); when combined with digital technology, Ted DeCagna delivers truly unique logotypes that are more creative, interesting, and eye-catching.
The hand lettering process starts with Ted designing several concepts for client review and approval. The selected hand-lettered logo is then made into a high-resolution digital master and Ted prepares 7-12 color studies of the logo design. This process helps determine the best colors and design suited to your company or product.
